Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar. M.Eng., M.Sc. is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. His teaching career started in 1987. Until now he is still actively teaching in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He teaches Fluid Mechanics, Barriers, and Ship Propulsion.

His scientific publications are The Analysis of the Screw Extruder Model on Thermoplast Liquid Materials; A Comparison of Kaliki jatropha oil with petroleum as an essential lubricant; Pressure Loss on Branching Pipes with the Addition of Nano Particles (AIO3); Visualization of Two-Phase Flow and Characteristics of Spiral Pipes; Drag Reduction of Flow in Pipes; Hydraulics Transport of Mud Slurry Flows in a Spiral Pipe. Also, the Influence of Microbubbles on Drag Reduction of Ship Model; Variations in the shape of a bulbous bow on a cargo ship model against resistance;  M6-009 Microbubble Pump Channeled Frictional Smooth; Tensile test of ship models with variations in hull skin roughness, and others. The awards he has won include Satyalancana Karya Satya X Tahun 2006.

He married Dr. Diatri Nari Lastri, Sps(K), a lecturer at FKG UI. From this marriage, the lecturer, who is good at playing badminton, has three children, namely Zakiyatmoko Brachtomo, Dzulfiqar Diyanandra, and Yasmina Zahra Syadza.
