Mechanical Engineering graduates can analyze and design energy systems, industrial machinery, building facilities, and the transportation industry and contribute to fulfilling sustainable development goals.

Study

The education aims to produce competent individuals who can design and analyse elements and systems in the field of mechanical engineering and have superior attitudes and characters who can adapt to professional challenges in their lot of work.

Fast Track Scheme

The fast-track program is provided for students who meet the requirements to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in five years, one year shorter than the regular curriculum study period.

Cost of education

The payment of the Regular S1 education fee is determined according to the ability of the bearer of the BOP-B (Equitable Education Operational Cost). The cost of BOP-B ranges from IDR 100.000 – IDR 7.500.000. For the regular undergraduate program in 2013, there is no entry fee because of the government subsidy through the Operational Assistance for State Universities (BOPTN).

UI uses Single Tuition or UKT as a payment system. Students pay the unit cost of education determined by the study program so that they are no longer charged per credit. Parallel undergraduate education costs are fixed. Tuition fees for Parallel S1 also use UKT. The amount of the BOP is IDR 7.500.000 per semester, and the base fee is IDR 45.000.000.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Study focuses on the fields of Energy Conversion, Design, Production, and Manufacturing Processes and provides Basic Operational and Managerial knowledge of Industrial management. Mechanical Engineering graduates work in various fields of the automotive industry, oil, and gas, heavy machinery, educational institutions, research institutions, and other industries.

Marine Engineering

Marine Engineering Study Program focuses on the field of ship design, ship production processes, ship repair, ship machinery installation, and maritime regulations to provide basic knowledge and management of shipyard management.

The graduates of the Marine Engineering study program worked in the maritime industry, government bureaucracy, research institutes, engineering industry, automotive industry, oil and gas shipping industry, heavy machinery industry, education industry, and other industries both local and abroad.

Campus Life

We can find a pleasant atmosphere of campus life in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Outside the classroom, students can enjoy university facilities, explore various activities, build connections in social networks, and open up new experience opportunities.

Non-lecture infrastructure support as sports facilities, canteens, and leisure parks available on this campus which are as complete as the existing supporting facilities for lecture activities.
