Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi M.Eng. is a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. He was born in Jakarta on October 30, 1968. His passion for education started when as a student, he worked as a teacher at several well-known tuition centers in Jakarta. During his postgraduate education in Japan under the sponsorship of The Hitachi Scholarship Foundation, he gained a lot of experience as a part-time in the automotive field(Kawasaki), freelance translator, and presenter at Radio (NHK-World), Japan, during 1996-2000.

Besides educational and research activities, Prof. Harinaldi also worked at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, including being a member of the Core Team for the FTUI 2004 Curriculum (2002-2003) and 2008 FTUI Curriculum (2007), Secretary of the FTUI Academic Senate (2003-2004), Head of the FTUI Planning and Development Agency (2004 – 2005), Head of Engineering Center Building Construction UI (2005-2006), Director of CEP-CCIT FTUI (2005-2006) Secretary of FTUI Faculty (2005-2008), Head of Administrative Center of FTUI Faculty (2005-2008) and Director of EDIC-CDC FTUI (started March 2008).

He married Dra. Rohelda Neptjun and they have four children, namely Fariz Azhar Abdillah, Raihan Kenji Rizqillah, Hikaru Trinita Salsabila, and Irfan Yusuf Khaerullah.
