Prof. Dr. Ir. Tresna Priyana Soemardi, M.Sc., is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. Tresna, his short name, was born in Palembang on September 1, 1955.
He has carried out his duties as Lecturer, Researcher, and Consultant for over 25 years. The subjects he teaches include Biomechanics and Medical Equipment. He has written more than 100 scientific papers in national and international journals, seminars, conferences, and workshops have been produced, including the Design and analysis of NACA 66-based solar racing car body geometry using CAD and CFD techniques, Design and development of solar vehicle propulsion systems, Design and product development of silk thread twister, Design and development of 1.8 M2 link rotary log grapple (RLG) system on Komatsu PC300LC-7 hydraulic excavator, Study of selection of flow visualization system for nozzle model, State of the art biomedical engineering in designing hip prostheses and others other. Dozens of product development prototypes are ready to be patented
