In Indonesia, these researches are needed to support various design, manufacturing and maintenance processes.
His studies’ background was mechanical engineering, primarily focusing on the mechanics of material strength. His research were focused on fracture mechanics, especially dynamic fractures. Moreover, his other research included mechanical failure analysis, plural object mechanics, composite materials, impact engineering, and mechanical designs.
Studies on the analysis of engine component failures have been conducted in the manufacturing industry, chemical industry, and power plants. Some of the topics developed include composite materials damage due to collision loads, analysis of the strength of steel materials against fatigue using the thermography method, and studies on machine component failures.
Studies on the design and development of several engine components, including the design and development of monorail train bogies and several lifting equipment systems, have also been conducted.
